booking and payment
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking. No booking shall be confirmed until such deposit has been received.
The balance of all fees must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment schedule. King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre (“the Venue”) reserves the right to cancel the booking if payments are not received by the due dates.
All payments made are non-transferable unless agreed in writing.
bond
A security bond is payable prior to the event. The Venue may apply the bond toward any damage, loss, excessive cleaning, or breach of these Terms.
Any remaining bond will be refunded following inspection of the property.
guest numbers
Guest numbers must not exceed the agreed maximum without prior written approval. The Venue reserves the right to refuse entry to any unapproved persons.
use of premises
The premises may only be used for the purpose agreed and within designated areas. The hirer is responsible for ensuring all guests and suppliers comply with these Terms.
noise and music
All events must comply with the Venue’s Noise Policy and applicable EPA regulations.
The Venue reserves the right to monitor and control all noise levels and to require reduction or cessation of music where necessary.
suppliers
All external suppliers must:
- hold current public liability insurance
- comply with Venue requirements
The Venue accepts no responsibility for supplier performance or conduct.
installations and styling
No fixtures, fittings or structures may be installed without prior approval. The hirer is responsible for all styling, decorations and their removal.
damage and cleaning
The hirer is liable for any damage caused by guests or suppliers.
Additional cleaning or repairs will be charged accordingly and may be deducted from the bond.
safety and environment
The Venue is a rural bush property. Guests acknowledge inherent risks including uneven terrain, wildlife and natural hazards.
The hirer is responsible for ensuring guest safety at all times.
alcohol and conduct
Responsible service and consumption of alcohol is required.
The Venue reserves the right to refuse service and remove any person behaving in an unsafe, unlawful or disruptive manner.
right to refuse service
The Venue reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse entry, terminate the event, or require any person to leave the premises for breach of these Terms or inappropriate conduct.
No refund or compensation will be payable in such circumstances.
cancellation
In the event of cancellation by the hirer:
- the deposit is non-refundable
- further payments may be forfeited
Any refund is at the sole discretion of the Venue.
bushfire and force majeure
The hirer acknowledges that the Venue is located in a bushfire-prone area.
The Venue shall not be liable for any failure or delay due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to fire danger ratings, extreme weather or government restrictions.
All guests must comply with evacuation directions.
liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Venue is not liable for:
- personal injury
- loss or damage to property All persons enter at their own risk.
acceptance
Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. By paying the deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to them.
