Blackwood is a peaceful one-bedroom cottage for couples wanting to step away from everyday life, slow down and enjoy uninterrupted time together in the Otways.

Set across two levels, the cottage feels warm, private and full of character. Natural timber, polished floors and large windows connect the interior with the surrounding bushland.

Upstairs, the spacious king bedroom opens onto a private balcony overlooking the dam. Facing north, it captures the gentle morning sun and provides a quiet place to begin the day among the birds and trees.

Downstairs, the comfortable living area includes a wood fire and opens through double doors onto a grassy outdoor space. Prepare an easy meal in the well-equipped kitchen or cook outside on the private Weber barbecue, then settle beside the fire for a quiet evening together.

Bringing your dog

Dogs are welcome inside Blackwood Cottage, so they can be part of your Otways escape too.

Please note that Blackwood’s outdoor area and most of the wider property are not fenced. Dogs must be supervised, kept on a lead around the cottages, shared areas and animal paddocks, and must not be left unattended at the property.

Please keep dogs off the beds and furniture and clean up after them during your stay.
