The land and the experience

There are places that support rest.
And there are places that support transformation.
King Parrot sits quietly in the valley between both.

On 196 acres of Otway forest and hillside, retreats unfold in their own time.
Mornings open with birdsong and soft light over the Pennyroyal Valley.
Evenings settle into firelight, stillness and starry skies.

It is a place that asks nothing of you and offers everything you need to reconnect, reset and return to yourself.

A land that holds you

The valley is deeply restorative.
The hillsides, forest, wildlife and quiet all help the nervous system soften and settle.
Facilitators often tell us the land does half the work for them. We believe them.

Spaces that support connection

Retreats need both intimacy and spaciousness. King Parrot offers both.

The hall
Light filled space for yoga, meditation, movement, creative workshops, journaling and group circles.
• timber floor
• high ceilings
• peaceful outlook
• opens to the valley

The cottages
Comfortable and close enough for shared meals without feeling crowded.
Ideal for rest and integration between sessions.
• decks with views
• full kitchens
• indoor fires in winter
• bush and valley outlooks

The massage room
Tucked quietly into the bush for bodywork and nervous system repair.
Facilitators may bring their own practitioners, or we can connect you with trusted local massage therapists who understand retreat rhythm.

The land
Forest tracks, open paddocks, wildlife, a rainforest walk and a waterfall tucked into the heart of the property.

The pool
Saltwater for summer retreats.
Laughter drifting across the valley.

The sauna
Infrared warmth for winter retreats.
Deep release and integration.

  • shared meals and long tables
  • massage room
  • sauna and ice bath
  • pool
  • fireplace (winter retreats)
  • waterfall / rainforest walk

These micro moments help facilitators visualise the rhythm of a multi day retreat.

Our intention is to make hosting feel steady, simple and well supported.
