If you looking for adventure the Otways has you covered.  Here are some ideas.

We highly recommend booking any activities meal reservations well in advance to avoid disappointment.  Not all places are open seven days a week and for breakfast, lunch and dinner due to staff shortages.

Within a 30-minute drive

Some activities within a 30-minute drive from King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre.

Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm and Café (open seasonally).  Pick your own berries, enjoy a snack and drink in their café looking out to the vines –

Lorne Tours –  have an eight seater van and can arrange for winery tours in the region, Great Ocean Road tours, a four hour Lorne Day Trip tour going to waterfalls, lookouts, historical sites and Great Ocean Road. They can also custom design a tour to meet your needs.

Birregurra is a beautiful country town to visit.  The Birregurra Market is very popular and runs every second Sunday of the month from November to April.

Forrest Nature walks – Lake Elizabeth, Fern Gully Walk, Tiger Trail and Stevensons Falls. 

West Barwon Reservoir is another nice walk with BBQ’s and history of the dam.

Fungi Tours are also available in Forrest, book ahead May to July.

The Otway Fly is 1 hour and 10 minute drive away. It has Zipline Tours and Treetop walks. If you love nature this place is absolutely stunning and a must visit.  Bookings in advance required.   

Whilst in this area you could go to a few other waterfalls as well as the Beechy Pub for lunch.  There is also a few more waterfalls in this area – Triplet Falls, Hopetoun Falls, Beacuhamp Falls, Little Aire Falls.  The Californian Redwoods Picnic ground is located in Beech Forest and is a beautiful place to visit.

The spectacular Twelve Apostles are located approximately 1.5 hour drive from King Parrot and are a must see! If you make the trip here we suggest a visit to Apostle Whey Cheese
