Campground

The King Parrot campground is in a natural clearing on the floor of the valley alongside Aquila Creek, surrounded by forest.

There is abundant wildlife and magical walks leaving from the campground through the rainforest to waterfalls and the national park. There are two designated areas that include approximately three very generous tent sites and three permanent cabin-tents. The cabin-tents are solid roofed structures with canvas walls, doors and windows each housing one double bed mattress and two sets of bunk beds. Please note that we do not supply linen.

There are two gravity fed flushable toilets and two hot water showers in the main campground area.

There is no power at all in the campground, including in the amenity block. The camp kitchen is a sheltered area with communal BBQ and sink to wash dishes. Water is for washing dishes only, it is not suitable for drinking.

Note: Accessible by 4WD and AWD vehicles ONLY. Two wheel drive vehicles will not be given access.

The campground is only suitable for small camping trailers, no caravans.

To ensure the comfort of all campers we limit the campground to a maximum number of twenty people. We don’t like to cram people in, we want people to enjoy a true camping experience!

The King Parrot Cottages Campground is a family friend space. Management reserves the right to eject guests deemed to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way. The King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre noise policy is applicable for the campground.

Please note that the campground is open seasonally.
